Free Apprenticeship

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 10, 2013, 1:32 AM
This seems like a cute idea ;v; im not the best artist but i want to give it a try
idea stolen from *Ashlynper

I will help you on improving areas of your artwork that you think need improving, they must be in my own art limits xD for example, i carnt draw mech or backgrounds, some of my anatomy can be off. Hand me some art work and i will pick at it and show you how to improve, i really love red-lining peoples work and those that i have red-lined for will know i often go overboard and create large strips for them xD basically i red-line a lot to make things simple and easy to see.

:: Requirements ::
:bulletblue: You must be motivated!
:bulletblue: You must at least submit one picture every month
:bulletblue: You must take my critiques, I do not claim to be the best of artists but if you want my help im going to give you my opinion.

Fill out this application and post a comment below answering the following questions.

::Application::
Show me a piece of your best artwork and tell me how long you spent on it
:bulletpurple: Tell me your age
:bulletpurple:  Tell me why you'd like to be my apprentice
:bulletpurple:  What art site do you use, like SAI, Gimp, etc
:bulletpurple:  Do you use a tablet, mouse, or touchpad?

i doubt anyone will do this x'D

Um... Maxwell.
Age of 16.
I don't... really have a best piece I suppose. Nothing I pride myself on. Nothing I'd WANT to pick as a favorite... but um: [link] I suppose this is it?

I don't really like digital art very much... most of mine is traditional... I don't like the feel of a tablet. That piece is a very rare one of mine that's digital... I hope that's okay.

Why? I guess I'm here more or less for anatomy work, especially hands, and anthro work... always had a pain in the ass with muzzles and head/neck anatomy... More or less... consider it thank you for a certain "photograph"? I'll try to work hard to keep up with a month piece of work, trying to get back into dA again.

I'm 17 :D (High school art student yay lol)

Hmmmm I s'pose the best I have right now is [link] ..... I have no idea how many ungodly hours I spent on the crazy thing but I was really psyched for it and so got it finished in I think a bit less than a week of almost-constant working (when I had the time).

I know I don't seem to fail as much as I think I do, but that has to do with my tendency to not post anything I'm not strictly happy with... I feel like my grasp of anatomy is incidental and luck-based more than anything, and if anything gets the least bit complicated... it dies xD except in rare occasions where I get lucky lol.
I also tend to really fail at loosening up, as in getting away from the realism a bit (especially when there is such a thing as a facial expression involved, what are these I don't even), and my digital abilities are lax because I work so slowwwwwly that I get bored :P And therefore finish NOTHING.
And I just think I could learn from you :D in general.
Oh and by the way I SUUUUCK SO BAD at anthro/humanoid anatomy xD

I absolutely LOVE SAI and Gimp, detest photoshop (even though I know how to use it fairly well), sometimes play around with a couple other programs xD. And as far as sites, I post stuff here and on tumblr. (Here for my legit stuff, Tumblr for whatever piddly thing I feel like uploading)

I have a tablet and like to work digitally but I tend to do most of my sketching traditionally, because my already limited ideas of spacial... stuffs... just kinda die on a screen unless I have something to work from xD ('something' being a sketch.)

i need help with my anatomy! i have no way to get art classes and ive spent the last year trying to improve myself but its hard when you are on your own with no guide. i cant do anything like a horse or deer yet mainly because of the legs.

I use SAI. and on rare occasions ms paint.

i use a tablet and a mouse. (the mouse is normally only with ms paint)
